About Toys for Tots
We are entering our ninth year, providing a "Little Christmas" for your children, within Whitley, Knox, Laurel, Clay, Bell, Leslie, McCreary Counties & Campbell(Tn), that may not have a Merry Christmas, due to family situations. In the Past we provided for 13,500 children. Our campaign is hosted and operated, by the JC Paul Detachment 1448, Marine Corps League. This is a Veterans Organization, made up primarily of Marines, both past and present. The Marine Corps League has worked with the Marine Corps Reserves, for many years,to make this 79 year old program successful. These Veterans work hard and long, alongside many community members, to collect toys from donors, raise money to purchase toys. They also inventory, sort and distribute them.
We count on the generosity of the public, to make donations of money and toys, via the collection boxes, place in businesses, throughout the three counties. We also count on the larger employers to help us, by having employee toy drives and fund raisers. Our partners that provide us with warehous space, food for volunteers, working long hours and the media, that gets the word out, to the public. Without the combined efforts of all these folks, we could not do what we do.
